The white beach bar in Mojácar

Most of my venues sit in the natural park, far away from everything. This one is the opposite — and that is exactly why it belongs in the portfolio.
A white beach bar right on the promenade of Mojácar, terraces on several levels, the sea always in front of you. You can marry here with your feet in the sand and then eat upstairs on the covered terrace while the waves run below.
This is the venue for the large wedding with very different guests.

Why the location is the real advantage
At a large wedding there is a problem nobody talks about: your guests do not all have the same budget. The bridesmaid who has just furnished her flat and the uncle who likes a good night’s sleep need different hotels.
Here that solves itself. Mojácar is a holiday town, and around the bar there are hotels in every category — from a simple apartment to a four-star house. All within walking distance. Nobody needs a hire car, and nobody has to work out how to get home after two glasses of wine.
On top of that: not every guest wants three days of nature. Here there are restaurants, cafés, shops, music in the evening. Anyone who gets bored after breakfast will find something — and you do not have to organise a supporting programme.
Where you marry and celebrate
The ceremony takes place directly on the sand. Afterwards everyone moves up to the terraces: covered areas with rattan lamps, a wooden deck with white lounge furniture, the bar. Because everything is on several levels, a large party spreads out without feeling crowded.
Dinner works at round tables or long tables — both are done there. And when the sun goes down, the fairy lights come on. That is the moment you came for.
The kitchen is in-house. So you do not have to organise an external caterer, and the food arrives warm rather than from a tent behind the car park.
What you should know
You are not alone in the middle of nowhere. The bar is booked exclusively for your day, so no strangers sit among you. But the promenade in front is public, and the beach belongs to everyone. If you are looking for complete seclusion, one of my fincas in the natural park suits you better.
The journey is a little longer. From Almería it is around an hour. In exchange Mojácar sits closer to Alicante, which for some guests means cheaper flights.

Is this the right place for you?
Yes, if you …
- have between 50 and 150 guests
- need to accommodate guests with very different budgets
- want nobody to have to drive
- want to marry in the sand
- have guests who are unsteady on their feet
- prefer a holiday town to seclusion
Probably not, if you …
- are looking for complete quiet and seclusion
- want everyone to sleep in the same house
- need a short transfer from Almería
- want to celebrate until the morning — it ends at three

Sand, but smaller? For intimate celebrations with your feet in the sand there is the chiringuito in Agua Amarga — much smaller, and only bookable outside high summer.
