The Wedding Weekend Experience
What three days feel like
A wedding at home is one evening. Between the ceremony and dessert you get about four minutes with each of your favourite people, and then it’s over. Here you get three days.
Day 1
Arrival & welcome
Guests arrive, welcome dinner, getting to know each other. Nobody has anywhere to be. Anyone who likes can add a day trip.
Day 2
The wedding day
Yoga in the morning, getting ready without rushing, the ceremony in the late afternoon — when the light turns soft. Then dinner. Then the party.
Day 3
Winding down
Brunch, pool, feet up. A trip for those who still want one. And finally time for the two of you.
It is the one time in life when all your people travel together.
And you say I do along the way.
The place
Why Almería
Almería is Andalusia’s hidden treasure — wild, sun-drenched and far away from mass tourism. No hotel blocks, no crowded beaches. Instead desert, quiet and real nature.
Endless beaches, rugged coves, whitewashed villages — and more hours of sunshine than any other city in Europe.
And the best part: from here you’re quickly in Granada, in Málaga or up at 3,000 metres skiing. Powder snow in the morning, beach in the evening.
Almería isn’t a holiday resort. It’s a feeling. And this is where your story begins.

Who’s writing
A little about me
I’m Anna. I’ve been planning weddings since 2010, from Almería since 2012 — and only for couples who come from abroad.
A wedding here means sunshine and ease — and, from a distance, a lot of questions at first. With me on the ground, uncertainty turns into trust: no language barriers, clear contracts, your wishes understood. I’m with you from A to Z, in English, German, Spanish and Polish.
I know every venue here. Not from photos, but because I go there first: at noon in January and in the evening in summer, because the same place is completely different then. Light, heat, wind, noise.
Questions
What couples ask me again and again
How long does planning take?
Ideally six to nine months. It can be done faster — then the order matters more, because venue, photographer and stylist need to be booked first.
Do we need to come to Spain for it?
No. I plan everything for you from a distance. We meet online at least five times and get to know each other really well along the way. If you’d like to see the places beforehand, you get a venue tour — but you don’t have to.
How do we stay in touch?
Via WhatsApp, Zoom and email, plus shared documents in Drive so you always have the overview: what’s booked, what’s open, where the budget stands.
What do we have to do ourselves?
Only the lovely things: choosing rings and outfits, preparing invitations, planning your trip. I do the rest.
What does a wedding in Almería cost?
Most of our weddings start at around €18,000 to €22,000 all-in, depending on guest count, venue and your wishes. In the guide I walk you through a real wedding with 24 guests, every item listed, so you get a feel for what’s realistic.
Is a wedding in Spain legally binding?
For couples who travel here as tourists, usually not: under Spanish law two foreigners can only marry legally here if at least one of them is a registered resident. That’s why almost all international couples celebrate a symbolic ceremony in Spain and do the legal part at home.
How do our guests get to Almería?
Almería has its own airport. Alternatively guests fly into Málaga or Alicante and drive on by rental car — which makes sense anyway, because most want to be mobile here.
When is the best time to get married?
The season runs from spring to autumn. In summer we hold the ceremony in the late afternoon because of the heat, and I don’t plan weddings in August. October is the insider tip: warm, soft light, and on some beaches you’re on your own.
