Is a vegan wedding in Spain possible? Nina and Felix proved it is. At our very first video call I knew this wedding would be different. Not in a bad way, not at all. It was vegan, and it was darker than all the others.
The ceremony above the sea
They married on a hill above the sea, with live music and an arch of dark flowers and pampas grass.

Decor in black and gold
The two dared to choose different colours from most couples. The candles were black, so were the napkins, the arrangements held almost black flowers, and between them sat golden skulls. Did you spot them? The venue is very adaptable, and everything came together as a harmonious whole.

The vegan menu
The wedding menu was entirely vegan, from the welcome tapas to dessert, and our pastry chef made a vegan wedding cake. It was our first fully vegan wedding and, honestly, I had my doubts. For many Spaniards, ham isn’t meat! But our caterer did a wonderful job, and even the non-vegans were thrilled. We have since added some of the dishes to our standard menu.

What stays
Differently beautiful and so wonderful. I would love to plan many more vegan weddings. Now that we have the experience, they will be even better.
Frequently asked questions
Is a fully vegan wedding in Spain possible?
Yes. Our caterer cooks an entirely vegan menu including the cake, and non-vegans love it too.
Does the decor always have to be light?
No. Nina and Felix chose black and gold, and it looked wonderful. Many venues are very adaptable.
When is the best time for a wedding in Almería?
April to June and September to October are the most popular months. In July we move the ceremony to the late afternoon, and we don’t plan weddings in August because it is too hot.
