Boho Wedding in Cabo de Gata – Noreen & Fabio

Noreen and Fabio are such a sweet couple – and their boho wedding in Cabo de Gata was exactly that: relaxed, warm and full of small, genuine moments from the very first minute to the last. They said “I do” right at the top of the hill above La Isleta del Moro, with what might be the best panoramic view in my entire portfolio. You can see the whole sea, the bay and the tiny fishing village below – I say it every time, but here it really does feel like a movie set. Add a bright blue sky and perfect weather, and the day couldn’t have been more fitting.
Getting Ready
The morning started calm, full of sunshine and even more anticipation. Noreen took her time getting her hair done and her veil fitted, while outside her wedding dress was already waiting, hung on the branch of a small tree – one of those images that sums up a wedding for me every single time. Fabio took his own quiet moment too: alone by the pool for a bit, in his light suit, before the big moment arrived.

Location & Decor
Honestly, with a view like this, we already had most of our decor done for us. A touch of rattan, warm earthy tones, lots of blush and apricot in the flowers – and the sea in the background did the rest. For the dinner table in the evening we leaned into that same boho palette: woven placemats, candlelight, loose flower arrangements between the plates. For the ceremony itself, a simple white drape between the trees and a few flower arrangements along the wall were all it took – the view carried the rest.

The Ceremony
As guests gathered at the entrance, the maid of honor personally poured Aperol Spritz for everyone – a wonderfully relaxed, joyful start, totally in tune with who these two are. A live guitarist played while everyone slowly took their seats overlooking the sea. Then Noreen arrived on her father’s arm, and Fabio could barely hold back his smile. You could feel just how emotional this moment was for both of them – there was a closeness between Noreen and Fabio that was simply beautiful to witness from the sidelines. Under small white parasols, with the sea and the cliffs of La Isleta del Moro behind them, they said their vows, exchanged rings and read their own personal promises out loud. At the end, they walked back down the aisle beaming, showered in confetti – the perfect close to a ceremony you could tell meant the world to them from the first second to the last.

As their wedding planner, moments like this right after the “I do” are some of my favorite parts of the day too – a quick breath, pure joy, laughing together.

Couple Portraits
After the ceremony we headed down to the water for a few quiet minutes together among the rocks of Cabo de Gata. Noreen and Fabio are anything but stiff in front of the camera – between a kiss under the veil and quiet glances out at the sea there was also room for pure silliness, including a way-too-large cat head prop that had both of them cracking up. That exact mix of tenderness and playfulness is what makes them, them.

The Celebration Until Sunrise
Dinner was probably the best menu I’ve had in a long time – and that’s not an empty compliment. A few months earlier we did a tasting, and even then it was clear this kitchen operates on a whole different level. A real experience, from the first starter to the last course. In the evening a live band took over, and Noreen, Fabio and their guests kept the music and dancing going themselves until sunrise. Since the venue sleeps up to 16 overnight guests, part of the crew could simply stay on site – no need to leave in the middle of the night, just keep celebrating until the sky turned light.
The most emotional moment came right at the end: in the evening, all the guests wrote down their best wishes for the couple and set small floating lanterns adrift in the pool. Noreen and Fabio read every single wish out loud, one after another – a quiet, warm ritual where you could genuinely feel how much love was in the room. And one more small, deeply personal touch: the couple had hidden a handwritten note under every single guest’s plate. Little moments like this are what stay with you – and exactly why I love this job.

What Stays With Us
Noreen and Fabio’s boho wedding in Cabo de Gata was one of those weddings where, in the end, everything simply fell into place: the weather, the food, the music, and above all, the two of them. If you’re dreaming of a view that does most of the decorating for you, and a celebration that keeps going until sunrise, then feel free to get in touch with me – I’d love to hear your story.
